What is the largest fandom that you're in?

MCU, the fandom that ate fandom. I read around the edges a bit and watch a few fanvids, so I'm not really in it but I like it well enough to play.

What is the fandom that you're in, but none of your fen are?

Victoria. I'm a sucker for British monarchs and Victoria does it for me. Love the acting, the lush pageantry, and the historical background. No one else I know watches the show and I'm not invested in the fandom as such but I love it.

Ain't that the truth! The sheer volume of fic in that fandom is so overwhelming. I always need to remind myself that it's an umbrella fandom and there's a lot going on under that MCU banner.

I'm overwhelmed by MCU fanfic. Where do you even start?

I try to stick to my OTP - Stucky. And I only read completed fics, so that helps narrow things down even more. I feel like in the MCU you need to pick a particular sub-franchise or a character and go from there. If you just click on MCU you'll drown in a sea of fics for every possible Marvel title known to man.

This is where those AO3 filters come in super handy. ::nods::

There's the problem for me: I don't have a pairing in MCU and nothing I've read has convinced me to ship anyone. I love the films but the fanfic not so much. Eh.

I used to dabble in Steve/Tony fic until taste_is_sweet made me go back to the Captain America movies and take a look at Steve/Bucky. I mean, just on his own Bucky is right up my alley as a character. Super suave and sassy until the bad guys turned him into an assassin that constantly had his mind wiped and his body put in the deep freeze. Little woobie baby.

And all it took for decades of brainwashing to be broken was for Steve to remind Bucky that they'd be together till the end of the line. Just like that, no more Hydra, no more assassin, just Bucky trying to get his life back.

So now Stucky is my main pairing, and mostly what I write in the MCU. I throw heart eyes all over those boys, because they need each other, they so clearly love each other (anyone who watches Civil War and thinks otherwise can fight me), and I want them to be happy forever (fuck you, Endgame).

Anyway, I know you didn't ask for me to gush about my MCU OTP all over this comment, but there you go. LOL! Anytime you'd like to know more about this pairing I'd be happy to gush more. Free of charge!

I've read some speranza stories about Stucky and liked them. As I said, I read around the edges mostly. I kinda had to do that with SGA too. Took me years to get caught up with my McShep reading. :D

I do! I watch The Crown too but Victoria is my favorite of the two. :D
